Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
- Question: Is axe throwing safe?
- Answer: According to axe throwing statistics worldwide, injuries as a result of axe throwing are extremely rare.
- Can I walk in without a reservation?
- Yes! We always try our best to accommodate walk ins, but we do recommend reservations to guarantee your spot. You can book a reservation online, call ahead to get on the schedule and pay when you arrive, or walk in and see if we have availability.
- Question: Do you sell alcohol or allow customers to bring in their own alcoholic beverages?
- Answer: Not yet, but we are looking into insurance requirements and Virginia licensing requirements to potentially serve alcohol in the future.
- Question: What should I wear?
- Answer: For your safety, we require all participants to wear closed-toed shoes. No sandals, flip flops, etc. We have closed-toed shoe covers that we loan at no charge to slip on over your open-toed shoes if you forget to bring closed-toed shoes. We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement.
- Question: I don’t want to throw axes, but my friends/family do and I don’t want to miss out on the fun. Can I come and hang out with my friends/family who are throwing axes?
- Answer: Yes, we allow non-throwers to come out and watch while their friends/family throw axes, but due to space constraints, we ask that you limit the number of non-throwers to 2 for groups of less than 8 throwers, and 4 for groups of 9 throwers or more.
- Question: What is the youngest age allowed to throw axes?
- Answer: Our insurance allows for children as young as 10 to throw axes.
- Question: Can I bring my kids who are younger than the minimum throwing age of 10?
- Answer: Yes, kids younger than 10 are welcome as long as they do not go in the throwing lanes. We have benches where the little ones can chill-axe and play, and we have two toy axe throwing targets with velcro axes, so those younger than 10 can join in on the fun at no charge with a paying adult!
- Question: Do you sell food or drinks?
- Answer: Yes! We sell an assortment of snacks and non-alcoholic beverages!
- Question: Can we bring our own food or drinks?
- Answer: Yes! We allow customers to bring in food and sealed-container non-alcoholic beverages. We are not yet allowing alcoholic beverages, but we are looking into our options to do BYOB in the near future.
